A book describing a means of programming computers using LISP expressions evolved with a variation of the Genetic Algorithm.
This book firstly presents the basics of the method and then goes into a discussion of its application to a number of interesting and worthwhile problems. The text is well written and easy to understand. The examples are very thoroughly described, perhaps in too much detail, but this certainly is a thorough book all around.
I would not suggest that this be a book everyone should own. It is defintely a volume worthy of a scan for inspiration and to gain an understanding of the technique and its application. Unless your research lies in the evolution of LISP programs however, you would probably not wish to read this massive volume cover to cover.
