abstract = "In this study, new synthesis models for the coplanar
wave guide with a finite width ground plane were
obtained by genetic programming. Genetic programming is
a powerful evolutionary algorithm technique for
engineering problems. Genetic programming has a very
important advantage with respect to the other
artificial neural techniques such as determining a
mathematical model by using the relationships between
the variables. To show the validity of proposed
synthesis models for the coplanar wave-guide with a
finite width ground plane, obtained results are
compared with the results of quasi-static analysis
results and very good agreements between them were
observed. To determine the synthesis models developed
by genetic programming, 9712 data sets belong to
coplanar waveguides having different electrical
parameters and different geometrical dimensions are
used. The average percentage error of the synthesis
models was determined to be 1.48percent.",
