abstract = "In April this year the programme chairs of EuroGP, the
largest conference dedicated to genetic programming,
Mauro Castelli and Lukas Sekanina, organised a panel
discussion and debate about genetic programming with
respect to the undoubted recent successes of other
Artificial Intelligence techniques, particularly Deep
Learning. The discussion was moderated by Prof.
Wolfgang Banzhaf who holds the John R. Koza chair in
genetic programming at Michigan State University in the
USA. He started by inviting each member of the panel to
give their position.",
