abstract = "Genetic Programming has been largely applied for
solving a wide variety of problems. However, each GP
application is often built independently, based on
specific aspects of the problem. This paper introduces
Chameleon, a generic tool designed with the goal of
being configurable to solve problems in different
areas, with no need to perform significant changes on
its kernel structure. We show an example of Chameleon
being used to implement the classic symbolic regression
problem: finding an equation given a set of points. The
influence of the GP parameters in the overall evolution
process is also discussed by an analysis of the
symbolic regression test results.",
