abstract = "Ice coating on transmission lines is very likely to
cause major accidents such as flash over trips and
inverted towers. In order to accurately and effectively
monitor the ice-covered condition of transmission
lines, this paper intends to use an optimization
learning algorithm to extract the contours quickly.
Firstly, the adaptive probability filter is used to
denoise the iced image to reduce the influence of noise
in complex environments. Then, the edge point and the
non-edge point of a single image are studied by genetic
programming without real edge points, which is quickly
classifying and connecting the target edge points to
adaptively obtain the contour of the transmission line.
Finally, after comparing the relevant edge information
of the transmission line before and after icing, the
thickness of the ice coating could be obtained measured
by pixel. The experimental results show that the method
can adaptively extract the transmission lines under
different backgrounds and improve the accuracy of
automatic calculation of ice thickness.",
