The purpose of this study is to test the ability of computers to make novel designs by mimicking embryological development. A program, developed for this, produces cube-shaped symbolic cells. Shapes emerging from the combination of hundreds of cells are compared to target shapes. DNAs of shapes are evolved by genetic programming to increase the similarity to the target shape. In the tests made with 4 different target shapes, it has been observed that the implemented system can make voxel based designs with the success rate between 53percent and 85percent.",
