abstract = "Tutorial
Following a brief introduction to Genetic Programming
(GP) and examples of its successful application with
human-competitive results, we will undertake a more
detailed examination of research in this field through
the lens of syntax and semantics. Developments in
grammar-based GP will be highlighted before discussing
a significant new focus towards the use of semantic
methods. We conclude with a sample of open issues in
GP.",
